KUALALUMPURFull Day Trip to Genting Highlands. En route visit Batu Caves Murugan Temple. Genting Highland - The fun never stops at Genting, City of Entertainment, which is perched on the top of cool, breezy Genting Highlands. One biggest attraction in Genting is the cool weather. Because of the 2,000m altitude, Malaysians like to visit genting just to enjoy the 'European' weather! Enjoy a cable car ride at the last lap of the journey to Genting highland. (Indoor Theme Park and outdoor theme parks are currently at closure.) One of the popular attractions is the casino, the only one in Malaysia.

Upon your return journey you may also visit the Batu caves.

The limestone forming Batu Caves is said to be around 400 million years old. Some of the cave entrances were used as shelters by the indigenous Temuan people (a tribe of Orang Asli).

As early as 1860, Chinese settlers began excavating guano for fertilising their vegetable patches. However, they became famous only after the limestone hills were recorded by colonial authorities including Daly and Syers as well as American Naturalist, William Hornaday in 1878. The cave has one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of Hindu festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia.

FULL DAY - MELAKA TOUR

Departure: Everyday
Time: 09.30 hrs
Duration: 08 Hrs
Departure venue: Traders Hotel
Drop off Venue: Traders Hotel

PutrajayaOn arrival in Melaka, visit A Famosa - a Portuguese fortress located in Malacca, Malaysia. It is among the oldest surviving European architectural remains in Asia. The Porta de Santiago, a small gate house, is the only remaining part of the fortress still standing. In 1511, a Portuguese fleet arrived under the command of Afonso de Albuquerque. His forces attacked and defeated the armies of the Malacca Sultanate. Moving quickly to consolidate his gains, Albuquerque had the fortress built around a natural hill near the sea. Albuquerque believed that Malacca would become an important port linking Portugal to the Spice Route in China. At this time other Portuguese were establishing outposts in such places as Macau, China and Goa, India in order to create a string of friendly ports for ships heading to China and returning home to Portugal.

Most of the villages were clustered in town houses inside the fortress walls. As Malacca's population expanded it outgrew the original fort and extensions were added around 1586. The fort changed hands in 1641 when the Dutch drove the Portuguese out of Malacca. The Dutch renovated the gate in 1670, which explains the logo "ANNO 1670" inscribed on the gate's arch. Above the arch is a bas-relief logo of the Dutch East India Company.

Evening enjoy a Rickshaw ride in Melaka.
