Proposed abstract:

Mechanical ventilation, is a common life-saving intervention in the intensive care unit (ICU). Given the significant number of mechanically ventilated patients in ICU, it is necessary for practitioners to have a good understanding of techniques to optimize mechanical ventilation and minimize complications. Through procedural presentation and hands on experience, the MSA Pre – congress Ventilation Workshop aims to improve practitioners’ knowledge and skills on patient – ventilator asynchrony management, lung recruitment and weaning strategies.
